OUT FOR BLOOD (2006)

The wait: nine years of pain, hatred, impatience. Constantly fighting against adversities, alone. Mostly thinking about revenge, in the very sense of it. SADUS is back. SADUS is finally back, here and now, back with their best album ever.
IN THE NAME OF: thought provoking, sincere, devastating. NO MORE: pure vengeance. SMACKDOWN: in your face. OUT FOR BLOOD: dictatorship. LOST IT ALL: starts off where FACELIFT left. SICK: a kick in your ass. DOWN: a shotgun pointed to your head. FREEDOM: dedicated to Chuck Schuldiner. FREAK: loyal to the roots. CURSED: intense. CRAZY: seriously out there. You probably think there's more to say. You're wrong. Get out there and pick up this masterpiece. You owe it to the music and you'll do it for yourself. And as I sit here and listen to this beast, I think about the band's past. One words comes to mind: growth. It's going to be hard to top this one, yet I'm sure that once again these three friends will find a way to surprise us all again.

ELEMENTS OF ANGER (1997)

SADUS' last effort in order of time amazes the audience for its variety, and for the strength the line-up showed by continuing as a three piece after the split from guitarist Rob Moore. Being dropped by Roadracer records, the band started a new era signing a deal for the dutsch Mascot Records and releasing this astounding product that shines for the quality songwriting and the powerful new tunes. Produced by the famous Scott Burns, the album displays a great set of devastating techno thrash metal at its best. AGGRESSION is an attitude that this band masters since its beginnings and this one song is here to testify it. Hypocrites in disguise, faceless bastards assailing and raging... but IN THE END, life is worth to be lived, 'cause SADUS is simply STRONGER THAN LIFE itself. A manifest of intentions that this trio turned into a way of living. Huge, improving, crushing and deadly - in just one word - SADUS.

CHRONICLES OF CHAOS (1997)

This is a collection of songs that, as for the band itself, best represent SADUS' past. Actually every single Roadracer album is out of print due to label's decision, and the only official way to hear the oldies of the band is to buy this compilation. The cover features one of Travis Smith's first works, and the cd owns a great sound. I suggest this one for every newcomer - pick it up, pull it on and enjoy the clever, sequential development of a pioneering metal act.

A VISION OF MISERY (1992)

The band itself described this album as "the closest to what we think is 'our' sound". Truth is that this album represents one of the (underrated) peaks of the genre, and expanded boundaries of the classic thrash/death standards. The album floats between anger and aggression, but balances every note with a surprisingly constant determination to build a reflection of SADUS' improved skills. The concept is set on the miseries of life itself, and the lyrics appear now to be one with music. THROUGH THE EYES OF GREED, for example: staring at the horrors of society's consumistic impulses; ECHOES OF FOREVER: the flowing of time that never can be stopped; FACELIFT: anhedonia and apathy eviscerated through arpeggios and wrath. This release is a seminal masterpiece and pushes the listener deeply into the atmospheres of the band.

SWALLOWED IN BLACK (1990)

SADUS start their insane progression with this intense release that features some of the sickest episodes from their discography. While increasing musical skills are noticed, 'sadudes' started to create new structures to develop a very innovative thrash metal concept. Tracks like ARISE or THE BLACK stand as witnesses to a more complex songwriting which not only featured impossible , almost unplayable speed, but also showed great possibilities for the band to reach higher levels. The intricate development of the songs went along with a clear attention to the lyrics. SADUS analyzes the world they're living to discover how brutal reality can be, when suffering from the MAN INFESTATION. A close look at what media manipulation brings is taken in the standing ORACLE OF OBMISSION, while other tracks focused on psychological warfare and personal issues - which lately became one of the band's trademark.

ILLUSIONS (1988)

SADUS 's first record came out for the indipendent label known as Sadus Records. The band was actually selling the album via snail mail, without any kind of external support. ILLUSIONS was produced by METAL CHURCH guitarist J. Marshall and features some of the earliest classics from the band, like UNDEAD, SADUS ATTACk or the everlasting CERTAIN DEATH. After this release SADUS obtained a deal with Roadracer Records, which a few years later decided to reprint the album with a renewed cover an title (CHEMICAL EXPOSURE). High speed riffs, sharp sounds, a general higly skilled musicianship (which gains even more if related to the band members' age) and a killer 'death' attitude made this one a legend that stands the test of the time.

D.T.P. DEMO (1986, reissue 2003)

This package is worth buying for every single SADUS aficionado. Steve said once that Hammerheart records' proprietor wanted to reprint the very first demo recording from the band. So SADUS gave him the tapes and the deal went smooth. This is now a very rare item, because very few copies of it were printed and after a while the label itself passed away and changed name. The tracklist features some of the oldest classics and owns a dry, razor-like sound. It is an impressive witness to the skills of such young and promising kids, who at the time were still in their teens.
