04.10.2006 - SEVERAL NEWS

SADUS is scheduled to play on Saturday November 18th at the 2006 Monterrey Metalfest in Mexico. It also appears clear that a north american tour is in the works but at this point nothing has been confirmed. So chill out and wait a little bit! Here's the bad news: I was about to digitalize all of the tapes from the april tour, when my cam exploded in a burst due to self combustion (ok, that's not true at all)... I only was able to put this online - in case you didn't notice:

09.06.2006 - OFFICIAL MERCHANDISE INFO, UPDATES

Sorry for the late downtime. Things got hectic around here and I've been wrapped around exams at sound school. I kept updating the MYSPACE website with tourdates for the band which eventually played 3 shows with OBITUARY in the Weast Coast of the USA... rumours are that if you didn't attend to the shows, you missed out BADLY!

So here's the big thing: the SADUS management has finally decided to put out a limited number of official shirts for sale. We're setting up a PAYPAL address for you to arrange things sweetly. As for now looks like the shirts available are mainly long sleeve. Check this picture out:

The mighty Erin smiles in there, and the shirts are shining in their shimmering bloody logos! So prepare to buy some official apparel and keep checkin' this page for updates on the matter!

03.05.2006 - SADUS IS BACK HOME, REPORT IS COMING

SADUDES got back home safe and sound, so did I. There is a huge live report filled up with pics and videos on the way, but you will have to be patient because I want to do this the proper way and I know you do understand me. In the meanwhile I'd like to express my gratitude to all of those who made this possible, starting out from Debbie who really worked her ass out to make sure everything was set up tight. Much respect goes out to the GET SMART crew. 05.02.2006 - BUSY DAYS!!!

Hey everyone! Please forgive me for the current lack of regular updates. Truth is, I've been busy working out side by side with the SADUDES themselves! Darren has got his way into out very own forums, and he kindly invites everyone to check them out... we are putting together a new MYSPACE giveaway, so please be sure to check out the band's page out there... and add us on your TOP 8!!!

Now for the latest: SADUS *might be* touring with OBITUARY! The band will soon post an official statement about the dates - so far, they're going to headline Seattle's Northwest Death Fest 2006. More to come...!

A european tour is also in the plans - April is the month and these are the countries scheduled so far (straight outta King Lewie's mouth): Holland, Belgium, France, Spain, Austria, Swiss, Italy, Germany, and Czech Rep.

Mascot Records kindly sent me some the OUT FOR BLOOD promo (thank you, Evert) ...all I can say right now, is that I can't take the motherfucker out of the cd player. I know a few reviews are floating online already but a big surprise is in the works solely for the VALLEY aficionados... looking for a teaser?

01.01.2006 - HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Tons of fucking news on the SADUS side! Firstly, apologies for the 17 days downtime due to excessive bandwidth consumption (right click, save object as, ok??? that's the rule people!!!). I am trying to obtain more server space, probably about to come up with something cool this way very soon. In the meanwhile I had to take off the huge video from the site, it'll be back online soon, I hope.

On SADUS related news! You can check out a teaser trailer from the forthcoming album HERE (official MASCOT RECORDS website!), the video is taking from the bonus material included in the disc!

For the new year's eve, Darren wanted me to put out a contest out on the official MYSPACE page of the band, a contest which will see 50 lucky fans receiveing a special envelope filled in with SADUS related goodies... how cool is that??? I hope every single partecipant in the contest will pay a visit this way and say hi!

Also, the MYSPACE page is actually in the process to have a new song online in the flash player... be sure to check it out!!!

09.06.2005 - SADUS HAS LANDED ON MYSPACE.COM!

Hey everyone, first of it all THANX A LOT FOR YOUR HEARTFELT SUPPORT. The band gave me full permission to handle the official myspace.com account of SADUS, located here. The amount of incredibly supportive messages and comments is simply awesum and I really would like to express my personal gratitude to all of you, SADUS aficionados, who found the time to leave a sign and say hi... and show your ultimate kindness.

One other thing: the all important scientific magazine FOCUS (italian version) had a special dossier for teh last week, containing a poster which displays the evolution of modern music from 1955 onwards. SADUS IS LISTED THERE!!!
RESPECT OUT TO FOCUS, HANDS DOWN - YOU RULE!!!

On another note: few things happened these days, something quite important also. I was busy with work so lately I could not really keep up to date with the latest - as for I know, THE NEW ALBUM IS IN THE FINAL STAGES OF MIXING, ARTWORK IS ON ITS WAY AND THE BAND IS FULLY SATISFIED WITH THE RESULTS.

So I beg your pardon if for the next few weeks ahead news won't be frequently updated.

On a last, personal note, I'd like to stress out that while this site in no way endorses any kind of political support to any kind of organization out there, I am personally very happy to hear about the release of Clementina Cantoni - a person who's work in a troubled country really did the difference thru hard times like these.

EDIT: Last week I posted a video which SWISSMAN kindly sent this way. Unfortunately many users (including Darren himself!) could not see the clip because of the file format. So well, I had to ask a kind PRONG fan to help me out...he worked his ass out so quickly and so kindly, and we ended up having TWO FULL WORKING FILES, one for the PC users and one for the MAC users too. The video is now featuring 25 more seconds of footage - a super rare thing in these days of tidbits! So you all CHECK OUT THE FILES SECTION and enjoy the efforts of these great supporters of the cause, becuz they KICK ASS!!!

"First of all: Minneapolis went off with no problems, all the bands kicked ass and seem to have a good time together. The promoter for this event (John of JCM records) did an outstanding job providing all the bands with top notch equipment and crew, I'm sure a DVD of this show will surface someday.
We just wanted to thank all the people that helped put this together and all the people at Star Central that made this event happen, without you none of this would have been possible.
To our old friends, it was great to party with you again and hopefully we can jam together very soon.

22.03.2005 - SDG INTERVIEW, NEW ALBUM UPDATE!

Hey maniacs! A bunch of extremely interesting news on the way!
Steve just filled his own forum with incredible stuff: SADUS will enter Trident Studios at Pacheco, California, in about 4 weeks, to record the follow up to ELEMENTS OF ANGER! Then the band will fly to Norway to mix the new album with producer Børge Finstad (Mayhem, Borknagar, Vintersorg, Extol) in his TopRoom studios! Expect the new effort to hit the stores in late 2005. The sooner, the better - of course!

Then: a new, excellent interview with Steve is added on the talks section! You've gotta thank Israel for bringing this in, and Jorge Krening from the Metal Attack crew, for all of the kind support and help! Please be sure to check out their homepage and return the favour!!!

14.03.2005 - INFERNO FESTIVAL 2004 PICS + 2005 TIDBITS

Hullo everyone again, a long awaited update hits the spot! I'm proud to show you the wonderful pics from the INFERNO 2004, which took place on April 10th, 2004, in Oslo - Norway. Jon is actually back home from Sweden where he laid down the drum tracks for his side project, and now SADUS is rehearsing full time to ensure the strength of their brand new effort. I can't wait: all I can say about this, is that I think it'll be their best release ever. Very exciting stuff! Also: remember that surprise I promised you way back in time? Well it's not ready yet, but there are good chances it will be popping up here very soon - hopefully!

11.02.2005 - EXTRA UPDATE!

Hey there everybody! As you can see, Steve grants us some exclusivity for the fansite only. I had the pleasure to contact him and it's time to share some stuff with you. SADUS is currently hard at work to make sure that the new album will come out in time. Rehearsals have started already and there are hopes for a decent touring after the release of their new effort.

There's also a great update on the 'pics' section - I'm proud to share the best live pics so far I've ever seen in my whole life, brought to all of us fans by the incredibly kind girl known as Lala Briones (aka LA2). Lala took these pictures (scroll down pleeze) herself, back in Concord, CA. at the Bourbon St. venue, on July 24th, 2004. I truly think these pics captured the essence of SADUS so please enjoy them up! Also, I have been very lucky to get a hold of her thru the net, so my thanks go out to all of the fans who helped me in contacting Lala!

Also, we have a new update in the 'talks' section - yes, another Steve interview. Damn, the guy's super human. Many thanks for this go out to the powermetal.de crew - Henri especially - which will soon provide us a new set of live pics from the 2004 edition of the INFERNO festival.

31.01.2005 - THE OFFICIAL SADUS FANSHOP - MERCH AVAILABLE ONLINE!

It's official - you can now visit the one and only SADUS online fanshop here (or otherwise you can click on the 'merch' button in the menu up here)! The band members and their management agreed on this decision, so that fans worldwide can both enjoy some goodie and support the fansite too! Every earning will be devolved to the manteinance of this nice lil' place, but I can assure you that this is happening for the fans only and NOT for the money at all. Feedback is welcome as always, and should be addressed at my email or at the forum. Enjoy yourselves!

SADUS has been confirmed to be part of two big metal happenings, the Minneapolis Mahyem and the Seattle NW Death Fest. Check out the sites for additional infos.
Some spare news: Jon will soon fly to Sweden in order to lay down the tracks for the 2nd DRAGONLORD album. The band attended at the annual NAMM in Anheim (pic here - scroll down pleez!) and is still in writing mode - there are good chances to have an album update sooner or later. There are also several new pictures in the dedicated section of the site, check out the fans / lives sections especially. Many thanx to the loyal contributors out there for their killer support!

03.01.2005 - LONG AWAITED SDG UPDATE - SADUS IS COMING

It is now official that a SADUS dvd is in the works, to come along with the new album, which will feature massive artwork and extra goodies. The band is scheduled to play some festival in Seattle and in Minneapolis - more on that soon. Hopefully everything will happen in the first half of 2005 - but knowing them and their biblical times, I expect the new stuff to hit the stores within late summer. I can't wait to hear the new songs, feel the new booklet in my hands, and finally watch the SADUS dvd!
Something bad to notice is that the songs are not completed yet. This could mean troubles. Fingers crossed. Check out the official statement from the man himself, here.

Tons of news! I am proud to announce we from the KILL TEAM (sort of, hehe) have decided to ask the UM webmasters to open an unofficial SADUS forum on their kicking ass boards. Also we have a new 'full time' member, mr. Jason Washburn! 03.05.2004 - THE LOST NEWS

As you may have noticed the news page disappeared for a while. This was a problem I wasn't able to fix up. So, to be precise, I had to report here the official statements taken from the official SADUS site plus some extra notice I hadn't the time to publish yet. I hope you will enjoy these efforts. My very last entries were all about the ROME gig I went to back in April. SADUDES treated me like a bro, and since then I've been in contact with many nice people from all around the world. So let me say THANK YOU for the supporting words shown to me and to SADUS too.

I'll be reworking the report on the HEMP FUELED LIVE in ROME very soon.

First SADUS News Of 2004 - February 22, 2004

"Since the last update things have seemed really grim. But the past few months have had a definite turn for the better. Life was really turned upside down last October when Jon's 11 year old daughter went in for a heart transplant, we were all worried, yet hopeful that she would recover and make improvements. Since the operation every follow-up test has come back 100% positive, there have been no signs of rejection. She's back to her normal life and even back to school - all ahead of schedule. We're all proud of her for kicking ass and getting healthy so quick. She also has mastered making the best hot wings ever!

So naturally that means cautious relief for us and especially Jon, who's happy to be back at the drums with renewed vigor like a running bull. We Sadudes have been making marked progress with a bunch of new songs. We've had ideas filed away on tapes for a few years now although it felt like we had nothing to show for the long break since the last album. But once me and Darren broke out all the tapes and even added a few new song ideas to the list, all of a sudden we had enough songs for a new album. We have 10 new songs we're working on, and possibly a cover or three to add to that. We are so psyched to be this close to making the fifth Sadus album we are at it full time and expect to start recording drums in the studio in May. We'll probably break from the studio in June so I can join Testament for the European tour, and then me and Darren will resume sessions in July to finish recording. That's the plan at this point anyway.

But before any of that, we have a mini-tour planned for April!!!"

As all of you dudes probably remember, 2003 ended in a rough way...

CHANGE OF PLANS - SADUS cancel December tour - Oct 16, 2003

"I regret to inform you that we, Sadus, have to postpone the tour for December. The cancellation is the result of a very extremely fragile and urgent family situation. To be more specific - Jon Allen, our drummer has been dealing with the health of his 11 year old daughter. She has undergone a heart transplant recently. She is still and will be in the hospital for several months - where Jon will have to set up temporary residence with the rest of his family. Jon has been my best friend for over 20 years and our daughter's are best friends. This horrifying situation is effecting us all immensely and the world seems to be upside down these days. I hope you can understand why we have to pull out of the shows. We realize that a lot of planning has gone into this and lot of work has been done. I am sorry for any inconveniences this far along in the planning. Hopefully when things get back to as close to normal as they can, we wish to start plans to play out again. Steve & Sadus."

The first SADUS news of 2003 mainly regarded the reprinting of the DTP demo:

DEATH TO POSERS on HAMMERHEART RECS - SADUS news - May 06, 2003

"Hammerheart Records has made available the first demo of SADUS, the 1986 recording of D.T.P. Also included on the new disc are two songs from our very under-distributed 1987 Certain Death demo. Eight songs in all, and not much changed from the original raw sound but a little of that razor-blade high hiss taken down for modern digital cd's. A nice and, by the band's request, simple cover made by long time friend Travis Smith. The demo's re-release is not anything but a response for the fans to obtain a somewhat cult (if I dare say) classic recording, including Mr.Hammerheart, who's idea it was to release it..! It's also a nice way to stir the waters in preparation of the new album we've been writing in anticipation of a late 03 or early 04 release…Holy crap, a new SADUS album!!! Yes, we're not casting Illusions or any Visions of Anger on you. We've got about half the songs we need for a new one, so given the time to get the other half done, combined with the fact that we've been getting out on the road and playing a few shows these days….well just be patient for a wee bit longer and we'll be back In Your Face!!!"
